About

PhDoug is a short comic about working now: a bot alone in the office while remote IT talks him through a reboot, a badge reader taking notes from a manager, and the department that was replaced without replacing the outage.

The name is the lead. PhDoug manages the engineers. He is older than the tools, and he already understands them, which is why the hype does not survive the room. Chip Lang is the IT department now. Steve will begin after lunch. Barb has decided. Sherry L filed the outcome this morning.

How to read it

The latest strip is on the front page. Older ones are in the archive. Every strip has a text transcript under the art. Subscribe withRSS if you would rather not remember to visit.

The drawings

The strips so far are placeholder drawings, marked on the art and under the panel. The dialogue is the strip. PhDoug’s portrait on the characters page is the finished drawing. The rest of the cast is still a stand-in. Replacing a drawing means replacing the image file.
